We love making soups and chilis in the fall-- something about hot comfort food and football games really just makes us all cozy up on the couch together. I know it's going to be a core memory for our kids-- making our soup while we watch the early NFL game, and then enjoying our lunch together while we cheer on our Bills. We have some tried and true recipes from our childhoods that we love, but we've also been trying some new recipes!

One of our favorite new recipes that we just started making last year is White Chicken Chili. It's absolutely delicious and has become a staple at our house. The best part is that you can use leftover chicken from another meal, and it's just spicy enough to warm you up.

Click here to see the recipe we use, with a few adjustments. We usually halve the recipe, and it still makes enough for us to have leftovers the next day! We also didn't buy tortilla strips the first time that we made it, but we did the second time and they're a total necessity. They're the cherry tortilla strip on top.

Now I need to know-- what are your favorite fall staples? Any recipes that are a must-try for our family?
